Last updated: June 4, 2026. LabLearn is an educational mobile app and website that helps CBC learners study offline with lessons, quizzes, AI tutoring, accessibility tools, mock exams, teacher support, and practical skills modules.
Who We Are
LabLearn is not presented as an official KICD, government, school, or examination body application unless a separate written approval is clearly stated. References to CBC describe the learning focus of the app.
Information Stored on Your Device
LabLearn is designed as an offline-first app. The current app may store the following information locally on the device:
- Lesson progress, resume learning data, and completion history.
- Quiz answers, mock exam attempts, scores, and feedback.
- Bookmarks, downloaded lesson status, and selected learning content.
- AI Tutor chat messages and lesson context used for study help.
- Accessibility and app settings, including high contrast, dyslexia-friendly text, read-aloud, privacy, and chat history settings.
- Reviewer login state or locally stored sign-in status used to access the app during testing.
Information You May Provide
You may type questions into the AI Tutor, enter answers during quizzes or mock exams, change settings, or contact support by email. If you email us, we may receive your email address, name if provided, message content, and any technical details you choose to include.
Permissions
LabLearn may request microphone access for speech input. Speech input is used only when you choose to use the speech-to-text feature. The app may also use internet access for normal app platform functions, support links, website links, future content updates, or services added in later versions.
How Information Is Used
LabLearn uses information to provide and improve educational features:
- To show lessons, quizzes, mock exams, and teacher modules.
- To save progress and allow learners to continue where they stopped.
- To generate lesson-aware AI Tutor responses and keep chat history.
- To apply accessibility settings and read-aloud preferences.
- To respond to support requests and fix reported issues.
AI Tutor and Offline Model Use
LabLearn may use an offline AI model on supported devices. AI Tutor prompts, responses, and context may be stored locally so the learner can review previous study conversations. AI responses may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate, so learners and teachers should review important answers before relying on them.
Speech and Audio
The speech input feature may process spoken words to turn them into text for the AI Tutor. LabLearn does not use microphone access to record in the background. Text-to-speech/read-aloud features convert lesson text or AI responses into audio output on the device.
Children and Students
LabLearn is an educational app that may be used by school-age learners. Parents, guardians, schools, and teachers should supervise younger learners, especially when using AI tutoring. We do not knowingly sell children's personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information through support contact, email us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Data Sharing and Selling
LabLearn does not sell personal information. The current app is designed to keep core learning progress and AI Tutor history on the device. If future versions add accounts, cloud sync, analytics, ads, payments, or third-party online AI services, this policy and the Google Play Data safety disclosures will be updated before those features are released.
Third-Party Services
The app may rely on platform services or libraries for features such as speech-to-text, text-to-speech, local database storage, 3D model viewing, app links, and support email. These services may operate according to the user's device settings and the applicable platform or service policies.
Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored learning data remains on the device unless the user clears it in the app, changes relevant privacy settings, signs out where supported, or uninstalls the app. Support emails are retained only as long as needed to respond, resolve issues, and keep reasonable business records.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect information. No app, website, device, or method of storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Accuracy
LabLearn's privacy disclosures are based on the features available in the current app version. If future versions add accounts, cloud sync, analytics, ads, payments, or online AI services, this policy will be updated before those features are released.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as LabLearn changes. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and publish the revised policy on this website.
Your Choices
You can choose not to use optional features such as speech input. You may also clear local app data through device settings, uninstall the app, or contact us about support emails or privacy questions.
